Scott Cam Gets Gritty

Scott Cam billboard Sex and the Gritty

True grit. Scott Cam.

All round Aussie good bloke Scott Cam demonstrates the real Aussie male image. Strong, mature, self employed and part time promotion worker. Scott shows that regular Aussie blokes can succeed in this difficult world with persistence and hard work… all with your pants on. Jamie Durie, who’s laughing now! Go Scotty! yeaah

Now, what’s this billboard about again?

Old Fashioned Aphrodisiac…Milk?

Billboard from the 1960's for Oak Farms Milk and 7 ElevenPhoto Credit: Roadsidepictures

Has your mother ever told you the real reason why you were born? It’s because of milk… and great billboards like this from the 1960′s.

Check this billboard from the 1960′s for Oak Farms Milk and 7 Eleven stores. Oh Lordy, sweet mumma.., milk can do that? Perhaps by today’s standards it would be classified in the seriously corny catergory …Presumably people bought more milk to get more loving. Oh well, it still works on me.

What would the 2010 version be of this?

Tao Nightclub Las Vegas

If you’ve grown tired of gambling in Las Vegas (oh my god!) then the TAO nightclub is the place to be. Just nip in (or Nippon) for a quick prayer.

TAO Nightclub Las Vegas REVIEW.

Carlton Draught Beer Gets Fresh

carlton-draught

 Spotted in Perth, Australia.

“Fresher than a hot towel at a Chinese restaurant.”

I always thought beer was fresh when coming straight from the tap at the local pub.. but only now has Carlton Draught addressed this unmet need for beer drinkers.

Also I’m guessing this billboard aimed at Aussie guys with Chinese/Asian girlfriends. A night out at Chinese restaurant then the pub.

Devil Gets Done Over At Local Church

I’m not sure if this is an advertisement or a warning sign. The Pocono Community Church( Tobyhanna, PA) seems to have done what no other church can do and swindle Satan. Details are a little sketchy, perhaps it was some sort of numbers game that the devil lost out on. Bingo.

God help mere mortals who step foot in there on Sundays.

Motorola Droid billboard

As competition in the smartphone builds up, Motorola’s latest smartphone the Droid, uses the catch phrase “Droid Does” as part of its advertising campaign, no doubt with major competitor the Apple iPhone in mind. Motorola has teamed up with Verizon and Google to produce this Android based smartphone clearly aimed at the geeky and tech savvy users.

Thin Condoms for Oz

Australian manufacturer of all things rubber Ansell, has recently put up these billboards for Zero Condoms around Australia. This one was spotted in Brisbane, however I’ve seen one in Perth as well. With all the innuendo catchphrases possible for such product, Ansell’s approach is simple, upfront and nothing funny at all. The three words say it all.

Oh My Lord. Atheist Billboards. Bad News for Devil Worshippers

Get back ye devil!! (But only if you believe)

Debate still rages on over having the choice of religion or not to have religion at all, especially when children are involved. Those in favour of atheism have taken to using large billboard advertisements to spread the message. Here are samples I’ve found from the United States and United Kingdom. The organisations involved here are:

While your pondering about changing your religion (if you want a religion that is), then check out the Jedi faith:

Sony Playstation PSP for Giants

Spotted in New York City, this giant Sony Playstation PSP mounted on a billboard.

This giant PSP was in fact an electronic video screen, faithfully advertising the PSP day after day

until…

Oh dear me… A system error has occurred. And in public.

Have you ever had a dry dream?

Carlton Dry Dream Beer Billboard

This billboard was recently spotted in Perth, Western Australia for Carlton Dry beer.

Whilst the billboard itself seems a little odd with some guy shooting an object with a tank, it’s all of a part of the wider promotion by Carlton that includes several television commercials of guys dreaming up crazy things to do, such as:

  • Rubber chicken jet car racing
  • Battle tank skeet shooting
  • Elephant show jumping

Those crazy enough are encouraged to submit their ideas to the carltondrydreams.com website. Checkout the videos as well.

I wanna put an outboard motor on an Antarctic iceberg and drive it to Australia. Yup.. I can see it now… the crowd cheering me on as pull that huge mother into Fremantle Harbour….Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
